Thank you
To all of our amazing volunteers,
Words cannot express the feelings and level of gratitude and sense of community that we had at our first annual Native American High School Conference. In the middle of it all I was told by our wonderful opening speaker, Geneva Loftin-Fitzsimmons, that she has not seen so many people come from so far away to help and volunteer, and that really meant a lot to me and it really meant a lot to all of us in the Native American Student Alliance. Our organization comprises of about ten active members who spent countless hours and sleepless nights driving everywhere, meeting with high school students, phone calls contacting various high schools, education centers, and youth programs for both urban and reservation Native youth. In addition to being full time students inspiring to get our own medical, graduate, law, and other professional degrees, and some of us work to help in the cost for paying for college. All in all, to see all of it come together on Saturday was truly a great and amazing experience and it would not have been possible without all of your help.
I do believe that all our of participants will impact the world in amazing and diverse ways and I know that days, months, and years after this conference we all will work to remind them of that.
I would also like to give a special thank you to our opening speaker Geneva-Loftin Fitzsimmons, and our Keynote Speaker Dr. Dan Calac. Additionally our bird singers for sharing their songs and stories and the Soaring Eagles for being a part of the conference as well.
We at the Native American Student Alliance thank you all for everything,
All the Best,
Native American Student Alliance
P.S. for those who took pictures please contact us so we can post them
